Uther is holding lessons on war for people who generally just want to learn about it and how to fight one. This isn’t building an army or trying to take command over one, but rather an option for those who don’t want to join up with Arthur’s guard or would like to add it to joining that even if Arthur pretty much covers some teaching in there too, I’m sure. Uther thinks everyone who wishes to fight should know what a war is and what to do, even if they don’t want to be commanded. He will still recommend people gather up in groups in case of attacks, and if you do, tactics and the like will come in handy.
There will be posters and such out in the city for your character to run into, but Uther will also be regularly reminding people over the network, especially every month after the influx of new people is done or starts slowing down.
The lessons will be scheduled over the course of three days, all with different times so people with all kinds of schedules can hopefully find a way to come to them. After three days, he will move onto a new lesson, and he will expect that characters pass on the knowledge to newcomers. He will, however, also have a repeat of a lesson every now and then for anyone who has missed one or any new arrivals, and this will be announced, so don’t worry!
There will be monthly open logs for anyone who would go to the lessons and would like to use the opportunity to get some new CR. If you want me for anything specific, feel free to contact me at
tossino or AIM @ thetossedone and I will be happy to oblige.
The lessons will take place in a rented room in Draupnir, the threatre in the Freyr district.
Disclaimer: Uther is an expert at war. I am not. I know very little about it and will not be able to outline in detail what it is he teaches. You’re free to assume things, but if you’re really uncertain you can also ask me. Seeing as he’s from the middle ages, it might have to do with something that can seem modern? Whatever. But you can really just wing it.
Here follows what schedule I have currently set up. This is ICly known and can change if any in-game events would interrupt them, in which case I will edit as Uther does. As time passes, I will also put past schedules further down and behind a separate cut.
